Unable to load the metadata for assembly WPF.MDI

Jan 23, 2012 at 1:10 PM

I placed the WPF.MDI.dll in a subfolder "dll" of my project. Then, after adding <mdi:MdiContainer></mdi:MdiContainer> as described in the example, I get following error:

Error 1 Unable to load the metadata for assembly 'WPF.MDI'. This assembly may have been downloaded from the web.  See http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=179545.  The following error was encountered during load: Could not load file or assembly 'WPF.MDI, Version=, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' or one of its dependencies. Het systeem kan het opgegeven bestand niet vinden. C:\Data VisualCSharp\ProjectManager\ProjectManager\MainWindow.xaml 1 1 ProjectManager

Error 2 The type 'mdi:MdiContainer' was not found. Verify that you are not missing an assembly reference and that all referenced assemblies have been built. C:\Data VisualCSharp\ProjectManager\ProjectManager\MainWindow.xaml 7 10 ProjectManager

I must be doing something wrong ... but what ?

Error 1 was caused by the blocking of the DLL in Windows file system. Is solved. But error 2 still exists.
